media whiz and blogger
Deb Clem-Buckert is an entrepreneur at heart. She has an uncanny ability to take what life gives her and cook up her own brand of success. Building on her journalism background, Deb spent 9 years training and developing staff at the Kansas City Star. Hungry for a new adventure, Deb transitioned into the financial services industry and built another successful career. During this time she began a stint as a featured blogger for the Kansas City Star’s mom site, mom2momkc.com. Fueled by the desire to create something new for herself in 2011, Deb designed a position for herself launching a national Mom-focused e-commerce site in the Kansas City area.
When many of her colleagues began approaching her for advice on social media, branding, and messaging, Deb decided it was time to launch her own venture, Deb CB Media. She works diligently every day to be sure that her clients have crafted the perfect marketing message, social media presence and of course 30 second commercial.
Drawing upon her experience as a writer, recruiter in two industries, training manager, wife, and dance mom, Deb has crafted a unique, conversational brand as a professional blogger at it’s me, debcb!, Deb takes her own real life situations and applies her dry and witty sense of humor to make a valuable point for her readers. Her wisdom about business, parenting, and doing the right thing is both educational and entertaining. Most recently, Deb was awarded the Readers’ Choice Award for the Top 100 Bloggers of 2013 by Babble.com and in 2015 she will be a published author in a collaborative book project.
